Dr. Anna Weisberg has worked with children and adults impacted by sexual abuse and developmental trauma for over 25 years. In addition, she has conducted child custody evaluations and provided expert witness testimony in court proceedings regarding child victims and non-offending parents. Certified by the California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB) as an Independent Practitioner, she also treats adult male sex offenders. An area of special interest is helping families heal and reunite safely when sexual abuse and boundary violations have resulted in separation. Dr. Weisberg received her B.A. in Expressive Arts Therapies from the University of Massachusetts and Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology, after completing her dissertation on therapeutic body-oriented methodologies. Both her training in the arts and her doctoral work have provided a foundation for integrating verbal therapy approaches, creative expression and body-centered interventions to help process and resolve traumatic experiences. She is also trained in EMDR, Senorimotor Psychotherapy, Authentic Movement, mediation, Play and Art Therapies. Dr. Weisberg has conducted professional workshops on topics such as Somatic interventions to Reduce Dissociation, Helping Children Recover From Sexual Abuse, Body-centered Interventions for the Treatment of Trauma and Cyber Bullying. She maintains a private practice in El Cerrito, CA.
