Caprice D. Haverty, PhD is a clinical and forensic psychologist and the Co-Executive Director of A Step Forward, Inc. (ASF). She created and directs ASF’s Sexual Harm Prevention Program, which provides interventions and/or treatment for those with histories of sexual offending and sexual addiction. She also created the non-offending parent program. For over 25 years, Dr. Haverty has offered individual and group treatment for adult victims of child sexual abuse, perpetrators of sexual assault, those struggling with sexual addiction, and non-offending parents. She also works with families and communities to facilitate re-entry and reconciliation for men who have committed sexual offenses.

 

Dr. Haverty is a CASOMB (California Sex Offender Management Board) certified specialist who offers forensic evaluation and testimony and consults with organizations advocating for both survivors and perpetrators. In 2008, she founded CORR (Community of Resource & Resolution), a no-cost drop-in program for men with sexual behavioral problems voluntarily seeking early intervention or aftercare. Dr. Haverty received her doctorate in psychology in 1989 after conducting original research on the differential symptoms of physical and sexual childhood abuse among incarcerated women.
