Anna Weisberg, PhD is a clinical and forensic psychologist and Co-Executive Director of A Step Forward, Inc. (ASF). She directs the Child and Family Program at ASF and has worked with children, adults, and families impacted by abuse and developmental trauma for over 25 years. Dr. Weisberg is certified by CASOMB (California Sex Offender Management Board), treats men and women who have committed sexual offenses and/or struggle with sexual addiction. She provides expert witness testimony in court cases regarding child victims and non-offending parents. Having had prior experience conducting custody evaluations, she consults with parents navigating divorce. She is particularly interested in helping families heal and reunite safely after sexual abuse and boundary violations have resulted in separation.

 

Dr. Weisberg also works with clients facing parenting challenges, anxiety and depression, grief, medical trauma, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, and other struggles. She has specialized training in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Authentic Movement, Meditation, and Play and Art Therapies and brings years of experience integrating verbal therapy approaches, creative expression, and body-centered interventions. She holds a B.A. in Expressive Arts Therapies from the University of Massachusetts and a PhD from the California School of Professional Psychology.

 

Dr. Weisberg meets with clients in both the Concord and El Cerrito offices.
